Terms of Service (Australia)
Last updated: 23 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Ironpeak Digital LLC ("Ironpeak", "we", "us"), a Colorado company, and they cover your use of the Zephyr app, the Zephyr Pro subscription and the zephyr.travel website (together, "Zephyr") in Australia. By creating an account or using Zephyr, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy (Australia). If you don't agree, please don't use Zephyr.
The short version
- Zephyr helps you plan and navigate. You are always the driver. Road signs, posted limits and your own judgement come first.
- Clearance, weight, wind and grade information can be incomplete or wrong. Check your rig's dimensions and watch the road.
- RV-safe navigation is free. Zephyr Pro is an optional subscription, bought through Google Play in the Zephyr Android app, that renews automatically until you cancel.
- What you share with the community (hazard reports and fuel information) should be accurate and honest.
- Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 2).
1. Who can use Zephyr
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. If you use Zephyr for a business, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.
2. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees or any other right you have that can't lawfully be excluded.
Where the law allows us to limit our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the services again, or paying the cost of having them supplied again. Sections 12, 13 and 14 apply only to the extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your sign-in details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us at support@ironpeakdigital.co if you think someone else has used your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile page in the app or on the website. Our privacy policy explains what deletion removes.
4. Navigation safety
Zephyr is a planning and navigation aid. It does not replace your attention, judgement or the rules of the road.
- Obey road signs and conditions. Posted clearances, weight limits, closures and restrictions always override what Zephyr shows. If a route looks unsafe for your rig, don't take it.
- Data can be wrong or missing. Bridge and tunnel clearances, weight limits, road restrictions, grades and map data come from third-party sources and the community. They may be out of date, incomplete or inaccurate, and roads change through construction, resurfacing and new restrictions.
- Wind and weather are forecasts. Wind speeds, gusts, alerts and departure-time suggestions are estimates. Actual conditions can be stronger, can arrive sooner and can vary over short distances. A route with no wind alert is not a guarantee of safe conditions.
- Your rig settings matter. Routes are based on the height, weight, length and other details you enter. Measure your rig, including roof equipment, and keep your profile up to date.
- Don't handle your phone while driving. Set your route before you leave, mount your device safely, and follow the laws where you're driving about phone use.
- Community information isn't checked by us in real time. Hazard reports, fuel station ratings and other contributions come from other users.
5. Free features and Zephyr Pro
- Free: RV-safe turn-by-turn navigation, routing for your rig's size with low-clearance warnings, and wind and grade information before you go.
- Zephyr Pro adds paid features such as live crosswind voice alerts, the departure time slider and Saved Routes. Features in each plan may change over time.
6. Subscriptions, free trials and billing
- Where you buy. In Australia, Zephyr Pro is sold through Google Play in the Zephyr Android app, and Google's terms also apply to your purchase. Once you subscribe, Pro also works on our website when you sign in with the same account.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the price shown when you subscribed, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Free trials. When we offer a free trial, you'll need to add a payment method. When the trial ends, you'll be charged for a subscription unless you cancel before it ends. One trial per person.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time in your Google Play subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app or your Zephyr account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Refunds are generally handled by Google under its refund policies. Contact us at support@ironpeakdigital.co if you have a problem and we'll help where we can. This doesn't affect your right to a refund or other remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Price changes. If we change the price of Zephyr Pro, we'll give you notice in advance, and the new price applies from your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
7. What you share with the community
Zephyr lets you submit road hazard reports, fuel station ratings, verifications and similar content ("contributions").
- Submit only information that you believe is accurate, from your own experience.
- You keep ownership of your contributions. You give Ironpeak a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, store, display, modify and share them as part of running and improving Zephyr. This licence continues after you delete your account, when contributions are kept in anonymised form.
- We may edit, hide or remove any contribution, for example if it's inaccurate, out of date or breaks these terms.
- If you turn on Show on Leaderboard, your display name, miles, trips and badges are visible to other users.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading or malicious reports or ratings, or manipulate the leaderboard, badges or trip totals
- post anything unlawful, abusive or offensive, or personal information about someone else
- copy, scrape, resell or bulk-download Zephyr's routes, maps or data
- reverse engineer the app, get around subscription or security features, or interfere with our servers
- use Zephyr to build a competing product, or in any way that breaks the law
9. Third-party services and data
Zephyr relies on other companies, including Amazon Web Services (maps, address search and routing), OpenWeatherMap (weather and wind), and Google (sign-in, Google Play and notifications). Their data and services are provided under their own terms, and we're not responsible for their accuracy or availability. Map and data credits are shown in the app.
10. Our property
Zephyr, including the app, website, design, logo and the name "Zephyr" as used for our app, belongs to Ironpeak and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Zephyr for its intended purpose under these terms. You get no other rights in it.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we can use them freely without owing you anything.
11. Changes to Zephyr and availability
We're always working on Zephyr and may add, change or remove features. Zephyr needs a data connection for routing and forecasts, and it may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, outages or problems with our providers. Some features may be labelled beta, are still being tested and may not work as expected.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, Zephyr is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no promises that Zephyr, its routes or its data will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or error-free, or that a route is safe or suitable for your vehicle. This section doesn't limit the consumer guarantees described in section 2.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- Ironpeak isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or damage to vehicles or property arising from your use of Zephyr or from relying on its routes, forecasts or data.
- Our total liability for any claim relating to Zephyr is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Zephyr Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or A$80.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
14. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover Ironpeak's reasonable losses and costs from claims made by others because you broke these terms or the law, or because of content you submitted.
15. Suspension and ending these terms
You can stop using Zephyr and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account, or remove your contributions, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we have to for legal reasons. If we close your account without cause, we'll refund any unused part of a paid subscription to the extent Google Play allows. Sections 2, 7 and 10 to 17 continue after these terms end.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States. This doesn't affect the Australian Consumer Law or any other Australian law that protects you and can't be excluded by agreement, and you can bring a claim in the courts or tribunals of your Australian state or territory. Before bringing a claim, please contact us at support@ironpeakdigital.co so we can try to resolve it informally.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version on this page with a new "last updated" date, and tell you in the app about significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using Zephyr after that, you accept the new terms.
18. General
These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and Ironpeak about Zephyr. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't given up the right to do so later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, sale or reorganisation of our business.
